Description
The Kidney Function test provides an evaluation of the health and functioning of the kidneys. The test measures the levels of two markers, Urea and Creatinine, which are waste products in the blood that the kidneys filter. The EGFR (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate) provides an estimate of how well the kidneys are functioning. Kidneys play a critical role in removing waste and excess fluid from the body, regulating blood pressure, and producing hormones that regulate red blood cells and bone health. Regular monitoring of kidney function is essential for preventing serious kidney-related health issues and ensuring overall good health.
